Volunteer Opportunities at The Gardens!

We’re looking for passionate and enthusiastic volunteers to help make this year’s The Southern Lights a dazzling success! As a volunteer, you will be part of an unforgettable experience, working alongside a fantastic team to bring joy and wonder to our community. Whether you love interacting with guests or helping behind the scenes, we have a role for you!

Please note, all positions are 4:45 PM - 9:30 PM. Please plan to stay until 9:30 PM, but you may be released earlier.

Volunteer Positions Available:

Parking Attendant:

You are one of the first welcoming faces people see at The Southern Lights! As a parking attendant, you will cheerfully wave people in and direct them to their parking spot. It is very important the parking lot remains safe at all times.

S'mores Bar Assistant: 

The S'mores Bar Assistant will work at the S'mores Bar located next to the maze and assist with smore's, popcorn and an assortment of food. The S'mores Bar Assistant must be able to multitask while maintaining a friendly customer service attitude. This will be a high traffic area and will immersed in the Christmas cheer! (Must be able to speak English.)

Assistant Chef: 

The Assistant Chef will help in the Food Bar area, helping the Head Chef with pizzas, burgers / hotdogs, or other items on the menu. The food area will sometimes get hectic, so this position will require someone who can work well under pressure. 

Wagon Elf: 

The Wagon Elf is an acting position. The Wagon Elf will be a part of the performance for the Elf Quest ride. The Elf Quest ride will run throughout the night and the Wagon Elf must remain in character, showcasing enthusiasm and commitment until all guests leave. This position does not require practice before, it will be very simple (and fun!) to learn the role! To volunteer as a Wagon Elf, you must dress like an elf and have an abundance of Christmas cheer!
