The Southern Lights is our light show experience that invites people to walk and experience The Gardens of SENC in lights!
We've created a one-of-a-kind holiday light experience through our beautiful display garden!
Grab a glass of wine imported from Italy or a refreshing beer from our bar before you set out to experience the magic!
Touring The Gardens wouldn't be complete without a delicious flat-bread pizza from our very own wood-fired oven! We will also be offering other delicious bites! Come hungry!
What better way to enjoy lights than with a toasty s'more? Be sure to grab a s'more and toast your marshmallows by our fire pits!
Stop the Grinch from stealing Christmas! Children (and adults) of all ages can run wild through our whimsical maze to find the stolen presents!
Santa will be at The Southern Lights every night in DECEMBER to meet and greet children of all ages!
Brown Dog Coffee Co. will have their truck at The Southern Lights, serving up hot beverages (hello hot cocoa) to keep you warm while you enjoy the holiday magic!

We have 2 different event options for The Southern Lights:
Yes! A season pass gives you unlimited access to our Southern Lights event throughout the entire season*. You'll be able to explore the lights, visit our concessions, and enjoy all the seasonal treats as often as you like without purchasing a new ticket every night. We have 2 different season passes available for purchase:
*Premiere party is excluded from the season passes.
**A Family of 4 Season Pass is intended for four individuals living in the same household, specifically two parents and two children under the age of 21.
***Season Passes are non-transferable and intended for use by the pass holder only.
No reservation is required for Season Pass holders! Simply show your QR code at the entrance each time for easy access.

We are open on select evenings from 5:30 PM to 9 PM. Please view our events calendar above for a full list of The Southern Lights dates.
Yes! At-the-door purchases are $12 per person. Exceptions include our Premiere Party on November 15th, which is priced at $50.

This email confirmation has important information including: the date and time of the event and an individual QR code that will be scanned at the gate for admission. If you have lost your email confirmation / ticket, please email us at info@thegardensofsenc.com. We can send you a duplicate copy via email or text message. Our tickets can be saved to your Apple and Android Wallet for easy retrieval.

Yes! The Gardens of Southeastern North Carolina provides abundant parking to accommodate guests.
The Gardens of Southeastern North Carolina is a non-profit botanical gardens that is a sister company of Johnson Nursery. Therefore, we are located on the same grounds.
We politely request that you refrain from bringing external food or drinks.
The Southern Lights offers an amazing, outdoor walking light experience through The Gardens. Please dress appropriately for chilly nighttime winter conditions.
While our campus is smoke-free, we do allow smoking in the designated parking area.
We at The Gardens of Southeastern North Carolina strive to provide excellent products and/or services and a seamless experience to all our patrons. However, we understand that sometimes circumstances may lead to the cancellation of a purchase or service. In such cases, we have devised a refund policy that not only accommodates cancellations but also supports a worthy cause.
The Gardens of Southeastern North Carolina retains the authority to reschedule or cancel The Southern Lights in the event of inclement weather. Should the need to reschedule arise and you find yourself unable to attend the new date, your purchase will be considered a generous donation to support The Gardens' mission. Alternatively, if the event is canceled without rescheduling, you will have the option to receive a full refund or graciously contribute the amount as a charitable donation to The Gardens.
Customers who wish to cancel their purchase or service must notify us in writing via email at info@thegardensofsenc.com or by contacting our customer support team at 1 (800) 624-8174. Please provide your order/reference number and the reason for the cancellation.
Upon receiving your cancellation request and verifying your eligibility, we will process your refund accordingly. Depending on the payment method used during the original purchase, the refund will be issued through the same channel. Please allow up to 7 business days for the refund to be processed and reflect in your account.
Instead of providing a monetary refund, we offer you the opportunity to make a difference in the community. In the event of cancellation, you have the option to choose a charitable donation to The Gardens of Southeastern North Carolina, a non-profit organization dedicated to environmental conservation and community enhancement.
If you opt for the donation, we will provide you with a confirmation email acknowledging your contribution to The Gardens of Southeastern North Carolina. Your support will help fund vital projects and initiatives aimed at creating a sustainable and vibrant environment for our region.
Cancellations are eligible for refunds and donations up to 2 days before the scheduled date of the product delivery or service commencement. After this deadline, the option for a monetary refund will no longer be available and the donation will be the default choice.
Please note that certain products or services may be non-refundable, as indicated during the purchase process or in the terms and conditions of the specific offering.
This refund policy is subject to change without prior notice. Any updates will be posted on our website and will apply to all cancellation requests made after the revised policy's effective date.
